Bob from New Zealand sent these pictures;
Attached a couple of photos of Goldwings
from New Zealand, the first photo is Carol’s first
Goldwing, a beautiful 1984
Naked Goldwing,
1200cc sidecar unit, she had just brought. Carol is an ex biker from the 60’s
and 70’s era and
had
decided to ride again, at the ripe old age of 57! The
second, is my first Goldwing,
I purchased on my 60th birthday, with a bit of help from loved ones.
‘Mariah’ is a beautifully kept 1986
Aspencade, GL1200cc
with 23000 miles on the clock.
Bill Stiles from Toronto, Ohio USA sent these pictures of some of his
motorcycles and these comments; A few photos of 3 Great Honda Bikes in my
household.1979 Honda CB650 14,000 miles still runs and looks great.1983 Honda
Aspencade 44,000 miles (My favorite). 2002 Honda 1800ABS my newest addition
(Fantastic Bike)I recently joined your forum and have found a lot of useful
information. Great Web Site.
Bob Krauss sent this picture of his 1976 GL1000 and writes; HI, my name is
Bob Krauss. I live in Idaho by the Snake & the Clearwater rivers (beginning of
Hells Canyon State Park). These were taken up the Clearwater River on highway 12
heading east towards Montana. A beautiful ride, right along the river. All the
way to Lolo pass. The bike pictured started out in 2000 when I bought it as a 76
GL1000 bagger complete with c.b. radio & 8trk, and this is the best part, 21k
ORIGIONAL miles (guy told me it had a lot of miles on it on the phone, ya right
900 a year average). I can put that on in a weekend. It has to many mod's to
list here, but they could contact me if they want always willing to talk bikes.
This is Mark from Nebraska, the two pictures taken 27 years apart! Mark
writes; Hi Steve, I ride from Nebraska, USA. I have had three Goldwings. My
first was a 1978, second was a 1982. I have been planning for three years now,
to get my GL1800. And now it's mine. You have a great Goldwing Web site. And I
have visited your web page several times. I have used your "Bikers Workshop"
part six. VERY helpful. The first picture is me with my 1978 Wing, in 1978 on
our trip to California, 27 years ago. The second picture is with my new 2005
Wing.
This is Hans Van Bree from the Netherlands. Hans has a rare
Honda Goldwing
Police California Highway Patrol 1200 Interstate.
Darrell from New Zealand sent me this picture of his Goldwing and says; Hi
Steve, just a quick note to say hello and that I found your site interesting
prior to buying my Wing. Only ridden it a couple of hundred miles. It is a
standard 1984 GL1200. 33,000 miles original with Vetter bags & Givi screen. Was
imported from the States into New Zealand in 1994. Its my first Wing and I find
it very smooth to ride.
Mike Kelter, from Battle Creek, Michigan sent me this picture of his Goldwing
and this message; Slightly more than a year ago, I happened to stumble on a 1985
Aspencade for sale. I began researching everything I could find regarding used
Goldwings and what to look for. Your site was beyond invaluable! Armed with the
knowledge of what things to look for, I returned to inspect the bike a second
time. It needed new tires, front and rear, and a new battery. The front brakes
will need replacement some time this riding season, and I already replaced the
rear rotor and pads when I replaced the rear rubber. All in all I've managed
around 6,000 trouble free miles on a bike I could easily double my investment on
at almost any time. I can't thank you enough for the useful information your
website provided me, which enabled me to make this purchase armed with the
knowledge I needed to do so wisely. Keep up the great work!
Ed and Yvonne LeFebre sent these pictures from Canada. The 1985 Goldwing
Aspencade 1200 had an accident and was wrecked. The white Goldwing is Ed's new
ride. It is a 1995 Goldwing 25th Canadian Anniversary Edition which Ed bought
late in the fall of 2004 to replace the one that got wrecked. The red Yamaha
Virago was my Yvonne's bike which they sold and replaced with the Black 1986
Honda Shadow. Their son enjoys riding on the back of Goldwings.
Also attached is a picture of their son on his dirtbike, also a Honda. The
picture of the ATV's is our son and his friends enjoying a warm winter day. Note
they are also all Honda's.
Bob & BJ Gawle are the owners of this lovely GL1800 trike. Bob say's that
"going to tourist area's with a lot of stopp & go driving makes this machine a
dream. We even load it up in our Camper (Toy Box) and take it with us."
Philip Sanderson is the owner of this very nice GL1200.
Philip is from Bellevue, Washington, USA.
This is Goldwing owner Coal from Alabama, USA with his
2003 GL1800.
Greg Kowalski's Goldwing is this 1989 GL1500. When he
sent this picture in late 2004, it only had 19,030 miles on the clock! Greg paid
$7,000 for it.
