Steve Coetzee sent the Goldwing pictures above from South Africa. Goldwings seem to be very popular over there. Steve's info on the pictures is as follows; Just some pix to show that we have the best biking country in the world, bar none, here in South Africa. The first pix is of our sidecar attached to Wing # 4, with Wing # 1(which has a 300 Watt sound system fitted) in the back round ( both are GL1100's of 1980 vintage). The second pix is of Wing # 1's second trip to Cape Town( Promise I don't know the lady in the shot!), from Johannesburg, earlier this year (Feb 2003). The third pix is of the wife and youngest son in the side-car on the way to Sabie in Mpumalanga in the east of the country (April 2003). The fourth pix is of the 2002 Wing fling in the Cape. # 5 is of my wife and Byron in Mpumalanga with the side car, # 6 is the four of us (as above), then me in the back workshop of our home, and me on a XR200R in the water at some mine dumps near our house.

Andy Rijavec, also from South Africa sent these pictures and says; I live down south in South Africa, We recently formed a new bike club by the name of "WINGS & THINGS" Presently we have 16 Goldwings. one GL1000, two GL1100's, eleven GL1500's and two GL1800's and as far as Thing's go we have two 1200LT's and two older BMW's. We formed the club February 2003 and have a total of 35 members at present, there are a few social members who would like to join which will happen later in the year.

My name is Bob Wagner an I live in Wilson, NC. I was in Dublin with a school group and happened upon some Goldwing Owners. I met some really terrific people and had lots of fun talking to the riders about their bikes and the club. I am a member of the GWRRA and am a Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor in America. I have ridden Motorcycles for 33 years and Gold Wings for about 12 years now and enjoy everything about them. I am sending a couple of pictures of myself and my bikes. My youngest son Brice, is behind me at the gas station. I have a 1984 Aspencade and have recently restored a 1979 GL 1000 for my wife. I really like the older Wings!

Hello, I am Stan Proffitt from the state of Tennessee in the U.S. Here are a couple of pictures of my classic Goldwing. It is a 1982 Aspencade that is in mint condition. It has the factory a.m.- f.m.- c.b. with intercom, on-board compressor. My wife and I enjoy day long rides. I have ridden 400 mile days on this bike and it performs great. Also attached is a picture of one of the two GL500i Silverwings that I have. These are in great shape as well.
