Help Page 2
For newbies to forums
Welcome to Steve Saunders Goldwing Forums. This is the help page for absolute newbies to our forums. This page explains how to post new topics (threads) and how to reply to other forum members posts and some of the ways to use and change settings in your forum account.
When you browse to the forums at www.goldwingfacts.com/forums
you will see the main page below. If you are not already a forum member, you
will have to register by clicking the Register link which is below the LOGIN
link, and go to the registration page. If you have already registered, you will
click the LOGIN link, shown circled in red here...

...then the login page will open and you will see the login dialog box shown below. Enter your forum name Username and Password and click the Login button...

...which will bring you to the main forums index page as shown below. This is the page with the list of all the available forums (as of August 17th 2008). Click on the forum you would like to post in. If you are new to the forum and want to introduce yourself, you might like to post a message in the New Members Introduction Forum, so click on that...

...and the New Members Introduction page will open, as shown below. Now you want to make a new topic with your introduction post. Click the New Topic button at the top right of the topics list, I've circled it in red below...

...and the new topic text editor will open, as shown below. Enter a title for your post in the Subject line and then type your message. When you are finished, click the Send button at the bottom right of the text editor and you are done.

If you want to reply to another members post instead of making a new topic, that's even easier. Assume that you are already reading a topic in the Technical Forum and you want to reply with a question or have something you would like to add to the thread, just click the Reply button beside any of the posts, example below;

This will take you to the text editor as shown two pictures above and you
can type and send your message as explained already. Congratulations, you are
now a posting member of
