Any ideas where to start? What is the first thing to check?

Thanks! Randy

The first and easiest thingto check is the wiring connection plug. Mine was unplugged.

Check both plugs... One at the thermo switch (middle of engine, larger switch in back) and then the one at the fan motor. Next check to see if the fan actually works. Disconnect the fan leads at the motor and carefully connect to a hot 12 volt source.

CAUTION!!! Make sure that fingers are clear of blades... Plastic fan will slice skin to the bone in about a millisecond!

Key on, Motor off. Take a jumper Wire and stick each end in the connector that goes on the thermo switch. If the fan comes on the Thermo switch is bad. If not then check the fan. About 90% the Thermo Switch is bad.New switch from Mother is pricey like $70. Many bypass the switch and use a toggle instead to control the fan.
