Hello,

Happy tuesday. I was curious if anyone on the site has used the bassani x tractor exhaust. Does the performance and sound somewhat justify the cost? I don't need the cost justification my wife was just looking over my shoulder....LOL... thanks

I've read that the benefits are outweighed by the lower ground clearance and extra noise.

Ben.

Just Installed http://venwish.com/Xtractor.htmlran for about 500 Miles,, loved it did get the mid range boost, nice sound!! Moves pipes back about 3 inches.

Co-rider hated the sound,, said it was to raspy @ 2800 Rpm- 3100 Rpm range. She has a hearing problem and certain freqs bothers her ears!!!Had to eat crow and take off after buying all new exhaust gaskets and spending 3 hrs installing and another 3 hours reinstalling old mixer box!!

I do know that alot of people put these on trikes, Did not notice any clearance issues!! Sorry to say will be on Ebay soon!!

Thanks,
Pete

It was more the resonance of the exhaust note , not the loudness of system. Did notice more grunt. If it was just me I would have kept it on!! Sounds like a hopped up Accura !!!

I just put the x on with dayton mufflers. But here in ohio have not been able to get a good run.I was able to get her out for a small run. What I can tell is what a difference,I have a 88 I put a tiggerwheel. She had a small heisate in her,now she runs smooth,I like sound and if I need to quit it down I can buy a baffle to put in.The one thing I like about the x is that it bolts or uses the same hardware as the exhaust chamber. The one thing I did not like about the x is that the mufflers do not bolt up the same. They give some brackets for that.Easy fix if I need to.
