On the my topflap of my tank cover there is (I believe) an electric OEM air compressor. This item seem to work fine, but I'm having some issues with my shocks losing a pressure after about a hour. this device is about 4"long,2" wide and about 1.5" high. There isa pressure guage in the center for meassuring the air pressure and 2 buttons on either side of it. The two on theleft is for front and rear suspension selectors and the two on the right are for increase and decrease ofair pressure.I would like to find out the name of the manufacturer in order to get a manual for it.

I would like to able to check to see if there is a air leak at the connecters, and ifnessesary, order some new lines. If this checks out, I'm going to check for leaks around the sealsof the shocks. I don't really believe that the shocks leak, as there is no oil or residue on or around them.

I'm hoping someone might have some idea of who mfg this part. Any help or idea of this item would be a great help

Thanks......Doug

not sure of 1100's or manufacturer but as you say with no sign of leaking sounds promising, just make up soap and water solution and apply to fittings most likely just orings, someone will be along with more 1100 specific info. hope this helps. good luck

When I first got my 83 the rear shocks lost air at about the same rate as yours. I took apart and cleaned and lubed the switches which were really air valves and it hasn't leaked since.

Your Interstate is one of a few that had the optional onboard air compressor installed. I have an '83 brochure that has a picture of the control unit that was installed on the forward section of the top cover/false tank and is what you describe in your post. You might check at your local Honda dealer as they might have some info as to who made it for Honda.
