On another Goldwing Forum I found a member had posted that he used wires from a 1985 Honda Prelude S.I. to replace his plug wires. He stated the boots are the same length, and theangle is almost identical, plus they are7mm. I was wondering whatyou gurus think about this application?
They should work, but I think the Prelude uses soft stranding in the leads and that breaks up when you screw on the HT leads. Unless you are going to use the caps that come with the leads?
If the 1200s are the same as the 1100 just go to your local bike shop and buy stranded copper sparkplug wire by the foot. I think you need about 7'. Lawnmower shops are another good place to find it. It'll probably be less than a $1 a foot.
If that is the case what do you do about the connections at the coils and the spark plug boots?
