My name kind of gives me away. Although I have always liked motorcycles, I have this weird love of sidecars. Over the years, I've had them on a number of Harleys and Triumphs, a couple XS Yamahas, a Moto Guzzi, a Valkyrie, and a GL1200.

In the next 12 months I plan to put one on my Aspencade. Every one I know with a hack on a 1500 has a Hannigan. I'm open to anything.

Show me some photos and help me decide.

This is what I'm fixing to hook up to my 82, it's a 92 HitchHiker. This is from when I bought it last year down in Georgia.

Actually this thread ought to be over in General section.

Those pics were taken at the sellers house before we loaded it in the truck. He repairs lawn mowers on the side.

I've had to have some pieces made for the mounts, took me 7 months to find a shop cheap enough to do it for my price. Still need to find a metric bolt longer than the OEM one for the rear passenger peg. May hit the stores tomorrow to find that.

I got it for 400 bucks cash. Cheapest other one I've seen was over a grand, with no windshield.

$400 is a steal these days. Most used sidecars go for between $1500 to $2500 any more.

Just remember that these little ones were made for 300 and 400 cc bikes.

I used to bend the mounts regularily when I had the HitchHiker on my GL1200. Everybody knows about light cars flying on right hand turns, but folks don't think that on a hard left turn the bike tries to drive that sidecar down in to the pavement.
