Hi,

Where did you get replacement bulbs for the meter or instrument panel for your 1983 ASPY. The repair manual says they are 12V - 2CP No. 57. The parts fiche says they are 12V, 3W.

THANKS!!!

With this info you can get LEDs at www.superbrightled.comget as many leds in each bulb as is available and if there is relectors behind the bulbs getledsthat have side as well as forward direction facing leds(to get the most light output per bulb, ie; 1157 with straight out leds donot put out as much light as the bulbs that have side leds to reflect off the mirror surface and a bulb with 48 leds put out more light than one with only 18 leds. red leds for red lense, amber led for amber lense, ect.

Thanks to all!

Looks like a LED education is in my future.

5 Strikes on buying the bulbs:

1st - Radio Shack

2nd - NAPA

3rd - Ace Hardware

4th - Auto Zone

5th - Advance Discount Auto Parts

Got a hit at M&R Cycles. They have the bulbs for $2.66 each with freight if you buy 10.

They never heard of a T1445. There is a 1445 out there but it has a metal base instead of twisted wire.

These guys sell the bulbs for $1.55. The shipping may make it a wash, I don't know. Do you need 10?

I looked for those bulbs outside of Honda for a while and never found them. I got some 12v-2w bulbs that were a little larger but could be forced into the openings. They were noticeably dimmer and I ended up taking the dash apart again to put the correct bulbs in.

Why ain't we ridin'?

Right now I need two but they can also be used in the idiot lights and turn signal indicators. I'd also don't like waiting a week or so every time I need a bulb.

Its also nice to be able to share.

Out of principle, I don't hink I would buy from a store that charges 55% over retail.
