When I bought my 1500 and stopped riding the 1100

the 1100 had 186,445 miles on it and now my son is turning it into a bagger so we will just have to see how many miles he gets on it.

Oh mine had the clutches replaced at 80,000 miles because in a rare state of enhanced stupidity many years ago when slick 50 first came out I added a can of it to my oil. I will say it really quieted the motor noise down. But almost immediately the clutches started to slip and only got worse as the days went on. So I bought a book and took it apart and replaced the clutches and other than that it has run fine all these years. Regular oil changes with regularmaintenance is the key to long life. Of courseavoiding stupid moments also helps.....

Don't really know but from what I've figured out she's got in excess of 130,000 and still runs like new.

Mines got only 31,116 on the clock as she'd sat for 7 years before I bought her and required a spot of work to make her roadworthy... Tricky has the highest mileage goldwingthat I've seen. He bought her new in '85 and has, I believe, over 250,000 miles on her!! I think he's changed the stator 3 times then went with the Poor Boy conversion and alsohad to change the head gaskets a year or so ago.. Other than that, just routine maintanence like timing belts and such....

Nice bike!! I've seen her!!!
