Hello All,
I have just finished rebuilding my slave cylinder, and have taken the advice from all that responded to my last post about it, to replace the oil seal in back of the slave cylinder as well.
I tried to pry it out with a short, small screwdriver. I tried a curved pic tool, that too failed. I went out and bought a seal remover, that was a little adjustable for confined spaces. Popped in the pointed end, adjusted it against the clutch housing, pulled on it a few times, and out it came. However.........................the seal was destroyed by the pointed end going through it. As the tool was "pulling" out the seal, the sharp, pointed end put a slight gouge into the wall of the seal "house". I am now afraid that even with the new seal I have, there will not be "seal" in that area of the gouge, but a small leak.
Opinions please, and any fixes welcome. TIA
