Having an issue with bleeding Front caliber.
Inside cylinder tank, there is a small tab that I
think is supposed to open and close as the
brake lever is applied. I took a small screwdriver
and tapped this tab and it didn't close.. but seems
to remain up/open. Could this cause not able to
bleed front caliber, or do I need to replace/rebuild
Master Cylinder?
Thats your problem! wrong front caliper, 1200 is right front operates off rear pedal
So you bleed the RF then Rear together, off Rear master cylinder
Agree with above that you are looking at the protective plate over the return line hole of front master cyl.
That can clog if fluid gets really really old and crudded- then remove and clean with 1 piece of wire from a wire brush
It's heck to get older :surprise: spent all day
bleeding the wrong side. :crying2: But not a total waste.
As now will flush all brake lines with 'NEW' Dot-4.
