New to trikes

Good Day Everyone,
We are "B n B on a Trike"
Been riding two's for about a hundred years, it seems, but new to trikes... 2002 GL1800 Trike
Had it out three times so far and now it won't start and I have no manuals...
Ordered one, but two weeks for delivery...
Does anyone have a pdf version they could share the section for checking and replacing solenoids and starters, please.
I have found plenty of youtube videos for checking, but need the access info... how to get to it...!!!
The weather here in North Georgia is perfect for riding now...
Thanks in advance for any help... 6785247463
Blessings to all,
Bill

Have you checked the simple things, like the kill switch?

When you say "it won't start", do you mean the starter won't turn the engine over or does the starter run but the engine won't start running?

Hey Larry,
when the starter switch is pressed, the solenoid clicks and the lights dim, but the starter won't spin...
Can't tell is one or both solenoids are engaging at this point...
thanks
Bill

Also check the reverse switch is not pushed in (R light on). Also on trikes there has been trouble with the side stand switch, sometimes they leave the switch there and just put it in the up position and sometimes they tie the green/white & green wires together. If that is the problem it should start when in neutral or with the clutch pulled in.

Could be just a weak battery. Do you have access to a voltmeter? Measure the battery voltage with everything turned off. It should be somewhere around 12.5 volts. If it drops way down when trying to start then you need a battery.
