I'd say go with that one at least you know the story behind this one.
Do you have a trailer or someone who can lend you one?

Ride it home! Catch a ride up there, and throw a leg over it - that's what I did a year ago. Drove 700 miles with the wife, from San Jose, Ca to Cottage Grove, Or to check out our sidecar rig. Spent the night in a motel and went and inspected the rig the next morning. Money changed hands and we headed home, with the wife following behind me in the car. We had planned on stopping at a motel for the night but she was in a hurry to get home, and the 1500 is so comfortable I could have ridden it forever so we kept going. About 12 hours in the saddle, with regular gas stops and food stops and we were home. It took several days for the smile to disappear from my face!

The price is sure right.

https://www.kbb.com/motorcycles/hond...icetype=retail

Is this one of the years that had 4th gear problems?

If all is good, why not ride it home?

Why ain't we ridin'?

I enlarged the picture and that thing that looks like rubber is a wonderful thing, a nice loud air horn now that's a bonus.
