pole barn project

I finally started the process of turning my pole barn into a place for wing work. To date I have had the walls and ceiling framed for insulation and covering. I have finished wiring to include 2-220V circuits for air compressor and welder, piped the gas to the furnace location, ran telephone lines to 2 sides of the building and installed the attic door/ladder. I wanted to be done with this by now but the workload and weather has slowed me down. ( Is that sometimes called procrastination?) My next project is to temporally mount the heater on it's base and fit the vent pipe to locate where it will pass through the wall. Then move the base, heater and vent pipe out of the way. More to follow....soon I hope.

I saw the foundation last spring, and it had some metal siding up in the air

Here is a pic of the framing. The box leaning against the wall is an attic ladder.

And here is the attic door/ladder installed. If there was ever a time when a camera should have been running all day this was it. Working by myself using ropes, pulleys, and a step ladder I think I must have looked like a Keystone cop.

I was really starting to worry about how to get the furnace up high enough to put it on the base I built. As it turned out I had the right tool for the right job. Just pulled it up the ramp then moved it into position to slide it off. The base turned out to be about 1 inch taller than the lift.

that is a good looking base there Charlie, and yes, you know that I want to be there to help you out.

and yes, my plate is rather full recently. and to add to that "Full plate", Medicare discharged Mardonna effective 12 noon on Friday, and only gave me 24 hours to file an appeal.

Filed the 1st appeal and they rejected that one, so I then went to level 2 appeal and added in the information from the surgeon that if she goes home now, she will loose all of her only remaining leg.
