Park Rangers inspecting the downed tree discovered graffiti carved into it from the early 1800s!

Can you imagine having an old family pic from the 1800s, all standing in front of that tree,
Now they find your great-greatgreatgreatgreat grandparents initials and a heart... WOW the story was true!

Plans are to slightly re-route the 1.5 mile walking trail so it still goes to- then around the tree.

I went through that tree in the early 70s,fond memories of the Big Fellow.
