I personally carry the Slime air compressor. comes in a very small zipper case and has a long power cord with a stardard NEMA rubber two wire trailer type connector. i have the mating connector wired direct to the battery thru a fuse, this connector just barely hangs thru the opening in the side cover.

easy to power it up, and it works like a champ. it will air up my Michelin car tyre from 30# to 55# in about 5 minutes. did that once just to see. then i let the air down in stages until i was happy with the ride.
