Welcome to the forum rodshowx. Your question isn't as odd as some might think. There was a roof available for the GL1500, and I remember reading about it here some years ago. I can't find the thread and don't have time to keep looking for it, but I did find this picture on the web:

Welcome to the greatest Gold Wing forum there is.

I saw a 1800 trike with one like above in Red with blue and white striped topand a matching red trailer. They said they ride in the LV, NV area and the sun shading is worth it's weight in gold. The lady who rode in the back was a little rubenesqe (heavy) and watching her climb up on the seat and then back into her nest was funny. She actually made a show out of it describing where she had to place her feet and etc. to get in there. She thought if they were in an accident that she would fare better as she probably would not come off the bike. Personally I figure the fiberglass top would part company rather quickly in a crash but then like a set of mesh armor any protection is better than none.

The top clamped onto the seat rails and went just over the windscreen. Looked unique and my Bride thought she would like it.

Life is a collection of stories we old people tell and hope a few will listen and carry them into the future.

There is a story to everything we have, everyone we have met and everything we have done or we will do or dream about doing.

We sometimes ride to forget, but hopefully we never forget to ride.

Although it looks kinda cool, I bet it is a bear to handle in a side wind. 1500s don't like the wind that much as a 1800 does, so a 15 mph side wind would probably insure that your arms get a good workout keeping that bike going in a straight line. I feel that if you want a roof, get a sidecar for the passenger with a roof, or buy a car.

Cool, I want one. Preferably in white so it looks good on my purple 95SE and Gray 88 both.
Now where do I find the doors for it, and do the windshield wipers mount on it or the fairing?
It does come standard with air conditioning right, or do i have to buy that extra?

Actually thinking about many of the high winds I have rode through I think that looks very dangerous to me!
Bad enough fighting those side winds with just a 1500 but I am sure with that roof I would have been blown right off the road! Or amybe even sucked up into the air like a kite!
Maybe that is why we never see them? Were they dangerous?

If you want A/C you'll have to get doors with that roof.
