double: ck on craigslist in boats or bikes for sale- keyword upholstery and you will find someone who used to work for a big place--- and now works from home for half the price

Nothing better than a custom fitted seat with a custom made cover for hours of enjoyment.
You test sit each mod to foam height or density until your backside is happy.
Same for the passenger~

Problem of seat too high or too fat at front are no more!

Funny - I ran in to this too! My occupation tends to shall we say, have a bit of ego? I started with my first Goldwing around 23 or so (48 now and had 4) and that was what a few of my friends said.

Until the big group ride where the wife and I were the only ones comfortable for longer than a 30 minute stretch.

Until they saw how much I rode, and enjoyed it, putting miles they only dream about on the bike (I have a couple co-workers who are 'riders' that average maybe 800 miles a year)

Until they found I could out ride them in the twisties because I had a lot of saddle time and knew for a fact what my Wing could and could not do.

Now they ask me advice and questions.

Vote one for year-round riding! Austone Darksider PVT (Passenger Vehicle Tire)

Most recent Wing: 128k+ on the 2000 GL1500 SE (Just totaled) due to being rear-ended...
Current ride (for now) 2015 Triumph Trophy SE

Avatar- 1963 Kenskill trailer

Previous wings: '78GL1000, 13k mile '77 GL1000 (resto at home, neat story!), '81 GL1100 Interstate.
Previous non-wings: CB360T, Suzuki GS550L, Yamaha 650 spcl (first bike!), Silverwing 500, Yamaha Spectre 1100, VFR700F, CB900 Custom.

Its funny how a bike the size, and weight of a Gold Wing can be called a old mans bike, when the lighter, sports bikes are considered a bike for someone under 30. At 67 I still prefer the 2 wheeled Wing over a trike because I like the feeling of leaning into a corner. The weight just melts away when I`m riding in town or out. When I`m not comfortable with handling the Gold Wing I might go to a trike.

I bought my first wing (83 1100i ) from a guy that bought it when he was 18. One day I had stopped at the grocery store after work and was loading my groceries in the trunk when a guy asked me how old you had to be to own 1 of those, I told him 18 I guess because that's how old the guy I got it from was when he bought it.
