The "real landing gear" is out of business, so you'd have to hope for a used one, which I see ocassionally. There's Retract-a-trike, and a few others out there, that I forget what they're called.

That rod that forms the "U" has to be some mighty tough stuff. Something on the order of what a torsion bar is made of. Too bad we can't get some info from that mfgr. And the pump is a real small unit, like nothing I ever saw. There's a very tiny small trailer brake pump that might fill the bill.
Good luck on that, and have fun.
I used to see one here in town, but that was a few years ago. The guy was very old, and I'd bet he passed on, and that thing is rotting in some garage somewhere.

Know someone whose dad had a setup from here:

http://safetyfeatures.com/

It proved to be most unreliable & they removed it. If you live in MN & close to the plant, maybe it would not be so bad. They lived in Utah & service was non-existant.

The guy's dad is probably going to buy a Piaggio MP3, 3-wheeled scooter & sell the GW.

These landing gear kits are not cheap.....I would like to have someone that would try and find the former owners of the New Orleans landing gear plant and see what information they can find on it.....If they can be duplicated etc....

Mike who owned "Landing Gear" went out of business in N.O. when the hurricane wiped out his shop and everything he had...He quit southern LA and moved to somewhere in east Texas, last I heard. Retired and rides his bikes. Last I talked with him he didn't even want to talk about the past - his choice, of course.
