For those in the uk the gates timing belt option has been a problem. I found a supplier at http://www.roadrunnerautoparts.co.uk they supply gates powergrip timing belts to fit the goldie gl1100 at 17.50 each. turned up three days later. good web site and I phoned to confirm and very helpful. Hope this helps someone else

On the box thats the only one mentioned. These belts are mentioned a lot on this forum and none was more suprised than me when after a bit of digging on the net I turned up this suppliers. I have tried other local motor factors and they have said that gates belts are not uk supplied. Funny that because they supply through an official gates retailer belts for machine and agricutral use. No idea where these come from but they are stocked. Perhaps its the grey import honda acty's that have produced the need to stock these. Either way it's benefits us as spares get rarer to find for older goldies.

You can also buy the Gates belts from Parkers car parts in Leicester, I just bought 2 at a trade price of £20 for the two, http://www.thepartspeople.co.uk/About-Us.aspx
