Will likely get my Formoza on either in Florida this winter or in the Spring when we come back.

Any recommendation for a replacement front tire to go with the Formoza rear? I am running E3's right now.

I'm going to try the Bridgestone Battleaxe BT45 rear tire in the front when my Michie wears out.

I really like the tread design on it.

Thanks Rudy

Bob is getting one and will let me know how it works out on the front. Hoping he can get some more riding in before the snow flies here..Getting much cooler now.

Are you using a radial or bias ply tire on the front?

Sorry Red... never saw your post till now.

I am running a Michelin Pilot GT bias front tire on it, right now.  The Michelin rides and handles like a radial but when it is gone, I'll be putting on a Bridgestone Battleaxe BT45 rear tire mounted reversed in the front.  I have seen good wear and traction results from other boards and I like the rear tread pattern real well.
It is also a bias tire.

I was with 96Aspencade on Tuesday, when he got the Battleaxe BT45 installed backwards on his front rim. Not sure how many miles he has on it by now, as the weather here has turned, but I'm sure he'll give you his opinion of it. He commented that it felt as if he now had 'power steering' with the new tire on the front, which replaced a completely bald and badly cupped E3. :smiler:

I got my Battleax installed & 3 or 4 hours riding on it so far, it feels good, running Max air pressure (I do in all my tires), like Rudy mentioned, it has a very attractive tread design & deeper rubber than the E3. :action::action:, I'm hoping the big difference is in the mileage so we'll see. :byebye:

Oh ya, I called back to see if I could get a picture of the old E3, it was already tied to a rope holding a tarp over a hay stack, I guess there is life after..............:cheeky1:

I'm Bob's whipping boy.  He likes to beat me.

He beat me to the Forenza rear tire and now he's beaten me to the Battleaxe.

I'm whipped, I tell ya.  :whip::whip::whip:

For the front tire he is. You have added alot of positive comments on the Forenza rear tire. This I appreciate also. Best to be well informed before I jump to the Dark Side.:hoppingmad:

Hawggy, the tire came from Denis Kirk ($90.00) so there was no 13%, you are right Rudy but don't be giving the impression that I'll listen to "anybody" with suggestions,
The trouble is in both cases, the day before I bought the Formosa & Brisgestone, i had also bought a E3 for the front & rear, so now the "Tester" has a set of E3's for sale., I guess I"ll have to test the classifieds.  :action::action:.It's 30* & cloudy, as soon as the closck rotates a couple of more times I"ll see about turning some more turns on the rubber, there is also a cop parked in our driveway nailing speeders so I'll wait till coffee time. :cheeky1:

Bob, I really don't mind you taking the lead on this stuff but it would help if you could get studs installed on those so we don't have to wait all winter on ya. :cheeky1:

Just for you :shock::shock:, just got back after 5 hours - 30 degrees & cloudy, 250 miles & the tire feels GOOD, I might have to wait a few months to get the tire warmed up but we'll get some more turns on it dont cha worry.

BTW "STUDS" are illegal here so we have to learn how to drive properly :action::action::action::action:
