It's drivable now, just not finished.
That metal flake Imperial Maroon with Gold trin would cost extra you know!!!!!!
Sorry you will have to wait a LOT longer as I've been diverted to something else.

I have started to design & build a DTG printer to do T-shirt for my business.
Will be using the new Epson R2000 with bulk ink supply.
It's a Flat bed printer.

Advice you could give me

I use 1.5oz mat always.
Lay up body with 3-4 layer with no overlapping of mat.
1-2 x about 2" addition layer around the outer edge.

Yes, rip the mat, DO NOT CUT, then overlap the ripped area to the other.
Do do not want to overlay mat due it will build up the thickest there & over heat when curing.

Haven't been able to find anyone locally to balance them.
Would like to!
Just make sure the u-joints are inline before welding.
Look at a car drive shaft to see what I mean.
I then get them Tig welded at a shop, a lot cleaner & stronger with less weld build up.

Awesome awesome project! I love fiberglassing, but haven't for a long time. Built a solar powered car in college - we had access to some pretty cool tools. Made a 6' x 6' x 3' block of urethane foam and had a huge mill to cut our body plug. We then glassed that, finished it with bondo, waxed it, and pulled a mold off that. Then laid up parts inside the mold. Worked really good - with a 3D shape fiberglass can be amazingly light and still strong. My next project (after my Lotus 7 replica and my '47 International truck) is going to be a fiberglass bodied three wheel car. Getting lots of ideas here. One question - why mat and not weave? We usually always used weave, and sometimes even kevlar weave. Tried prepreg carbon fiber too - just gotta have a BIG oven to cook it. Vacuum bagging is interesting too. Dang - now you're getting me all excited to get started! Car we built is the PRISUM II pictured near the bottom of the page at:

You know great build-out..but I was curious and was wondering what would drive someone to undertake a project of this type...Everything was answered to my satisfaction when I scanned down and discovered you had spent time under the mental control of the Marine Corp. I no longer am curious. Everything is now crystal clear.::needahug::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Hey, what's that supposed to mean.  I'd take on a project like this and I wasn't in the Marines :watching:

Although, I was raised by a Marine.  Hmmm, maybe there IS a pattern there

Yeah, The USMC & I didn't get along so will.
Got out 11 months early after coming back from Vietnam & they were going to put me on the main gate at Pearl Harbor.
We talked it over & figured it was the best for both of us if I got out.
When the Sgt. said jump off the mountain, I would turn around & ask "WHY"!
Yours is not to ask but do or die!!!!  :praying:
