Generally the white or cool white ones will be bluish like fluorescent lighting gives off whereas the warm whites will be a bit more yellowish like incandescent lighting.

My 13 LED 5050SMT warm white lamps were $4.95 for the pair with free shipping.

The key number in what you said is 6000k which is more blue, anything over 4300k starts turning blue...under 4300k starts going off white or yellow

Newday , Took your advice and ordered the 2 duel level harness'...can't wait to see what these turn signals  look like on the bike. boy they sure are bright on the work bench. the pics I posted don't do the real brightness any justice......DOC

newday777 wrote: This is where you need to do the wire harness to dual level on all those LEDs on the front, 1/2 power to running, full on for turn. It would be more effective bro.

Hey gang , I purchaced the duel level LED harness from cycle max and hooked it up to the mod I did on the front turn signals. the running light brightness is reduced to about 1/4  of full bright , but when you put full volts to it ( is in turning on the turn signal ) WOW  the effect is really bright.

I don't think I like the running light brightness reduced that much.

I'm guessing that the 50-50 SMD leds are being reduced that much cause the harness was made smaller leds that don't require that much voltage .

well I'm putting them in anyway and if I don't like it I'll just go back to my original Idea of 2 strips for park  2 strips for turn signal. will post pics as soon as I get them back in and put the other speaker baffle in aswell........DOC

I'd like to see some pics with the amber covers on the lights. I'll like to get an idea of the light diffusion.  I see yours are the newer clear style though.

I am getting ready to buy some amber strips myself, first thing I want to do is the fairing side marker lights.

Hey guys , I did a little testing on the Duel level LED Harness from Cycle Max, my bench power supply puts out 13.85 volts at 3-5 amps....... when I hooked up to the reduced side of  the duel level harness the it went down to 13.40. but when I tested the amps on reduced level it went down to .013 amps. full power went up to 2-5 amps and kept climbing.. ( not real sure if I used the amp check correctly ).....I also checked it to different led combinations..with a strip (3 )  3528 smd (RED ) leds there was minimal change from reduced to full power... with (3) 50-50  (yellow )smd's very little change in brightness......but with a strip of (60) 3528 smd's  ( red color )the change from dim to full bright was pretty good change in brightness......and with a strip of (12) 50-50  ( yellow )smd's the change is great but not as reduced as my turn signal mod which has 36 SMD's.........

I checked the specs for the 50-50 SMD'S and a strip o f( 30)  (yellow ) 50-50 smd's is 6 amp draw..( yea I just realized it myself )........the strip of (60) (RED ) 3528 SMD's is 296 ma.........

also FYI each 50-50 SMD are (3) leds in (1) but you can see the draw difference...:?

hope this helps someone....DOC

the rear of my wing I put 3528 SMD led red light strips and they are bright...rudy claims white under red lenses the light is reduced and a different color.

I was putting red in the red lenses, but I was talking about the front turn signals.  I have the amber '88-'97 amber version.  I think the amber LED's under an amber lens would look different than LED's under a completely clear lens.

According to LEDLightsworld, a 5 Meter strip of three hundred 5050 LED's draws 6 amps.  But that's for all 300 LED's.

I bought LED's without reading the label,   These change color.  Now they do look really cool, but the police officer didn't like them too much.    We laughed, I changed them back and he let me go home.     One of these days, I will learn to read the label before I install them.

well I'm not to worried about power draw at this point, starting  from the side of the fairing back including the entire rear of the bike there are NO incandesent bulbs, but there are over 650 LEDS ..amp draw OEM was about 22 amps...NOW 3.4    .....
