Cars tire shops say to have your car tires rebalanced every 5,000 miles to keep the warranty in effect. Have you ever rebalanced your bike tires in that 20,000 miles?

I never re-balanced the old tires. Until this wobble started all of a sudden, I never thought about it. I put Dyna Beads in the new front and will do the same with the new rear.

I had a Honda shop in Kentucky put a rear tire on my bike last summer and it caused a wobble just like you described.By the time I got my head around the fact that the back tire was causing a steering wobble I was too far away to go back.Don't think it was the way it was mounted I just think it was defective although they didn't spin it to balance it.Used a bubble balancer.Definitely does not turn true when spun up on the center stand.
