Longer ago than I care to admit, I refurbed the carbs on my 1200 and, like a few of my fellows here, didn't wanna give up the scratch for a proper carb sync.  My bike ran a lot better after the carb rebuild but it did retain typical out of tune characteristics.

New Carbtune arrived the other day from across the pond.  Easy setup and simple to use, when I got them dialed in I took it for a little neighborhood test ride.  First thing I noticed was that off idle sluggishness was gone along with the feint  hammering sound reminiscent of a motor with retarded timing.  The bike revved quicker and incredibly smooth throughout the typical rpm range and the occasional refusal to return to idle cured.

So to any GL carb noobs like me out there if you're wondering if a carb sync post rebuild will make much of a diffference take it from me- it makes all the difference in the world.

It makes a great difference to all the 4 cylinder Goldwings. Time well spent.
