HOW IN THE HECK DO YOU PUT THOSE DARN RUBBER STRIPS BACK ON BETWEEN THE TWO HALFS OF THE FALSE TANK.....MINE FELL OUT AND I CANT GET THEM BACK ON:?

Yeah,  that's a real pain!  Just had to do that on my '87 Aspencade.

You have to slide them in from the outside edge of the faux tank.  It's nearly impossible to do unless you get them slippery first.

What worked best for me was to use some dishwashing liquid and lube them up just a bit with that.  That gets them slippery enough to be fed into the slot between the tank halves from the open end.

You don't want to use anything petroleum-based on the rubber (or the paint on your tank).  Just use the dishwashing liquid.

MAYBE ILL USE SOME DUCK TAPE!   LOL...     I USUALLY WALK AWAY FOR A WHILE AND DO SOMETHING ELSE, AND THEN COMBACK AND TRY AGAIN....I DID GET THE BOTTOM ONE ON.:D

I would like to find on.  I am missing the top one on my 86 and the ones on my 83 are starting to rip. 

Anyone have any ideas as to new pieces.  I have not found any weatherstriping that is close to use.
