my 1980 GL1100 horns are hung there and i also have horns under the fairing in the front . My bike was a standard but the PO converted it with a fairing and trunk . Is it a pain in the butt to convert it back where would i get the headlight bucket and what ever else I need

I have successfully tapped into his computer and found out what he's working on:coollep:. He plans to use the aforementioned brakcet to mount his flux capcitor so that he can make a time machine. EIther that or that's where he's going to mount the espresso maker.

Although those screw holes are for horns, they make a good mounts for aftermarket front turn signals on a naked wing.

I'm thinking that this would be a mounting point for an alternator conversion? never really looked at the "poorboy" kit in detail, but I think I'm going to have to with my "new" '81.

I have a 1982 Standard GL 1100 it is the horns...nothing scientific just beep beep one for the leftside one for the right....

THe PO had hung a cruise unit on one side on mine with the vacuum cannister on the other. But both mounts are present. He added a little extension bracket. JR

That bike used to be an interstate or an aspencade. Or at least the fake tank came off one or the other. Now, ask me how I know.
