Do you know which cylinder is intermittant? A good dose of sea foam might clear it up. If you dont know how old your plug boots are, replace them! they have lil resisters inside that will fail.
If your idle ports are plugged, it will run like a cow until you get near 2000 rpm than it begins to develope power.
Worst case, you might have to pull the carbs & clean them out. If you do, Take your time & you will only have to do them once!!!
Try the sea foam first. Pour in 1/2 can on a full tank and run it to empty that day. Dont let it sit for an extended period with that concentration as it will eat rubber. than when you re fill, you can run 1 oz per gallon as a routine fuel system scrubber.

I agree with trying the Seafoam, but I'd be a little more aggressive. I treat mine this way at the beginning of the year, then towards the end. A half can to a full tank, run it close to empty, and do it again. Whole process takes about 3-4 days, depending on how much I ride. Then, if it doesn't get better, I would look at synching the carbs. They may be fine, but if they told you they were changed, who know if or when it was checked? Could be vacuum, but I would check here first. Hurts these birds to sit and old gas is a big culprit.

| If you buy it in a litre bottle, pour half the bottle in a full tank and ride it empty. than repeat this process with the other half. you should notice a difference within 100km.
