Try Jim and Sue Venne at Vencowings.com
They will bend over backwards to help if they can.
Call em from the site number.

Thanks Rudy

I tried Venco and Crescent Moon.
Venco takes a week, Crescent Moon isnt processing any orders until tomorrow.

The last time I needed one I found the last one available at a Honda dealer within a 50 mile radius so it's looking pretty grim finding one again.

I'd have to agree there.
Good luck in your quest.

If I were as desperate as you sound and couldn't find one fast enough, I'd go to an electrical supply distributor and buy a sheet of 'fish paper' and make my own with the old one and a few tools.  Then I'd cement at least one side of it down good when I put it in.  Don't know if it would take the pressure tho.

If you have been following the thread over on NGW the Crescent Moon "Caravan" just this morning arrived in Arizona.  They had a series of tire/trailer problems I suspect due to overweight trailers.  I seriously doubt they will be back on line for several days yet.

I know for a fact that the retailer who cannot be named has them in stock and can overnight one...if you don't mind their abrasive customer service practices.

Actually, I stand corrected.

http://www.bikebandit.com sells OEM, and you can pay a pretty hefty amount to have one overnighted there too.

Problem with bike bandit is they won't tell you if they don't have it.  Then they will take expedited freight if you want and hold it till it comes in.

If I need it, I need it.   If I had to wait a week to get something I expected tomorrow, I don't need to have paid overnight rates to get it later and then the next day.

Now that I did not know.  Then again, everything I've ever ordered from them they've had, and I've been in no rush to get so...

Thanks for the heads-up

Mike

I had that happen to me when I ordered my 98 engine guards for my 89.
Was kind of miffed about the expidited freight.

They are ok to deal with if they have it in stock though.

Well the gaskets cost me $104.15 for 2.
100 miles round trip gas= $25.00

Grand Total $129.15 in my hands.

Oh, 3 dealers say these head gaskets are back ordered for at least another 3 months before ANY Honda dealer gets any more so if you want Honda original and your planning on needing them any time soon, better get them picked up now if they're in local stock before someone else does.

Hope you post some pictures of this repair Dan. I would especially like a closeup of that (not Honda) gasket.

See you Saturday morning at Castaic.
