I just went to get it inspected.  Everything worked except the handbrake didnt operate the brake lights.  They looked over the micro switch but didnt have one to replace it with.  Is this something I can pick up at a local parts house or does anyone know where I can get one reasonably?  Thanks in advance...

Bill

I went out just now and removed it, checked it with an ohm meter. It checked out fine. Shorted across the two wires, heard a click, went back and sure enough the lights were on. I cleaned the contacts with some 400 wet/dry sandpaper. It's all good now. The micro switch is all sealed so there really isnt any way to clean the inside, but its all working. Back to the inspection station tomorrow...

use contact/switch cleaner to spray on the switch not wd40, read the can, this stuff is inflamable, spray it and leave it for 10 minutes to evaporate,  you can use it to spray all your switches

I just can’t resist.  Here’s my favorite on this from the late, great, George Carlin:

“OK, you’ve got three words here:  Flammable, inflammable, and non-flammable.

It seems to me that two words ought to cover it.  Either the darn thing flams or it doesn’t flam!”

Loved that guy, what a comic genius!

He was being funny, not making fun of you. The English language is quite difficult to figure out sometimes.

Google "George Carlin" sometime for some crass humor. He was a legend over here.
