I just replaced my fork seals last week and noticed the brake pads will need replacing soon.
I see Saber Cycle has brake pads that are $30.00 for 3 pair does anyone know if these are any good (I want to save money but not risk my life). Or does anybody have a recommendation on some good pads
Thanks

Are you new here? Nothing from Saber is a good deal in the overall scheme of things.

Why skimp on brakes? Crappy brakes can be a killer if they fail when you need them the most.

Spend the extra money, get EBC brand. Works great, and decent price. Several vendors have them. Don't know what year your GL1100 is, or what model it is so check it out before you buy them.

I'll second the EBC pads. Had a set of the 'HH' on my Magna, really helped with braking.

Yes I'm new here and I haven't had a bike for about 20 years. I picked up this bike about a month ago and it feels so good to ride again. The bike is an 81 and I kinda had the same thought on the pads but I wanted to ask to find out what the good ones are. I've got a lot of good info from this site. I've got the Napa Timing belts coming for this weekends project.
Thanks for the input

For a laugh, email Saber and ask what brand pads they sell. Be sure to post their answer.

They are Barracuda pads I never heard of them.

The local dealer stocks the EBC and price is $25.99 so I'll just pick them up there. Kinda weird not having to order something.

Saber Cycle is not a friendly place to deal with. They think they are better than any other vendor and are very condecending if you question their products or pricing. Word to the wise stay away from them. Ride safe, the EBC pads are really good.
