Good Morning all
Could anyone tell what kind of "rear end oil " they use in their wings.
I know the owners manuel says HYPOID GEAR OIL SAE 80, but would a Lucas sae 80w-90 fill the bill as well?

Welcome aboard, David (in case the welcomers didn't see you yet!) You'll be fine if you use the Honda-recommended GL5 Hypoid Gear Lube, and most popular brands will be fine. If you want to read more about oils, the link below is helpful, and there are some other links dealing with filters and oils comparisons & stuff, that you can probably find here if you do a search on "oil"...

| Most any good brand name 80w-90 multi-grade gear oil will work well. I find it harder to buy a single grade gear oil than a multi. Is the Lucas a synthetic or standard oil? I haven't tried a synthetic gear oil yet. If it is standard, the Lucas will be fine.

Thanks FenderHead for welcome, TwoWings it does not say synthetic or standard so my guess is that it is standard. The label reads "Excellent for race car, trucks, rv's, hypoid gears. So I think I have found my final drive oil.
