Took the trike out for a spin, That fork tree makes a world of different in turning. It's a cool driving sound w/o muffler also. Now I need to be able to I guess muffler would need to be put on the list, but can't install till I mount the body I'll be picking up from Bob in Calif. in Dec. Pictures show the space now on the front wheel & shot from the front. Backed it into the garage this time. \ Rides smooth as silk & I'm seating on the Skip Here is a link to all of the pictures if you missed any: http://community.webshots.com/album/574919979juLqDQ?start=72 Last edited on Wed Nov 18th, 2009 04:05 pm by skip20 ____________________ USMC, Vietnam Combat Vet. 69-70, GWRRA 78111 PGR 255645 1st Bike Honda Dream 150 Dream Bought in '68 1st GoldWing GL1100 1989 GL1500/6 (NEW)Still have runs GREAT 1993 Gl1500A Trike Build SOLD Now:1993 Gl1500SE Future Trike To many projects to finish |

The first lock nut went on really hard but got it seated, put lock tap wacher on & started 2 nd lock nut. It was even harder to turn & stopped about 1/4" from being seated. I'm using the nuts that came with the bike, not the used tree. The top nut goes on fine & tighten down. Skip

Sounds like the 2 trees have slightly different pitch on the threads.

Well the parts are coming in slowly. Got the seat, Ex. side cover, pass. floor board with trim, a good air pump & a SE Seat which has a rain cover in the back pocket. The hardest part of this build in NOT putting the IRS setup on it, IT"S WAITING FOR ALL THE BODY PARTS!!! A trunk is on it's way & would like to THANK Member "Mark Zimmerlee" for all his help with getting a lot of parts from his misfortune damaged GL1500. He been very helpful & has put up with all my phone call. Wish him the best in getting better soon. Need to remove the right side axle I had cut down & cut another 1/2" off of it. I had cut the same 3" as the sub frame, but its a little tight.

Don't know if I could find a Die the big & fine & it cost a lot if I could for this time use. Thank for the idea, will look into it. Bill said they were hard to get off also. We kept our own lock nuts & he said that his go on my old tree smoothly. I don't have the 4 point socket to use so been using large channel lock pliers. Afraid I would broke the tips off the socket if I have one. GPS Mounting bracket drawing This got lost, so here it is again. Not to scale, fit to your mount. Now that I know the picture shows up, a little more infro. Use 16ga metal or 18" Alum. New bend was added after test drive on to section to stop the bumping around. If you add switches, size it to fit them, you will need to space it out a little more to clear them. Same drawing just longer bolts ( I used chrome allen heads ) and spacer tubes. You can make the spacer from metal or Alum. tubing. If you use metal be sure to paint or send it out to be chromed. Getting to the point that I will be sitting on my hands till I get the rear body next year. There will be alot of fiberglass work on the body & will be posting pictures as I go. Guess I will just have to enjoy the holidays coming up & work on the Bradley GT II. Last 3 days been loading up eBay with most of the extra parts left over from the 2 bikes I've fixed. I'm skip20 on eBay also, in fact most places I hang out. HAPPY TURKEY DAY
