I really love the job you did, and now the bonus of a hitch carrier to match. I wanted to get a trike for my wife, but I had to replace her car last week unexpectedly. Other than that, she might have had a very blue, one-of-a-kind birthday present!

got side tracked on fixing a wrecked truck for my dad so the carrier will have to wait a day or 2. at 77 years young dad comes first. he can still wip me.

yep they stole it. worth way more but i have to build another so what they go for is what they will go for. should have waited a little longer weather is still too bad. considering what i had in it i made really good. so i can't complain. i'm doing for the fun right now but i may get serious about it.

Isn't that what we all do sometimes?????Get started, then mid way through that project say you know what???? I got a better idea...Then we tear it out and start over....It's far better to find an error, say what you found wrong and how you fixed it, than it is to not say any thing about it, and let someone mess up big time.....If I had a 1500 just setting around looking to build a trike, I would be watching how you and Skip build yours....Both of you guys are great, and one day I hope that I will have the pleasure of meeting both of you guys......Now get that 1500 going in a new thread..I'll put it at the top when you are ready.... Claude......

Skoto 1 I agree with the Idea of using the 2.73 mustang and with the tires at 26 " tall and with that body you did last is lighter than the fiberglass and much better areo dynamics its turning less rpm at the posted interstate speed less drag than fiberglass = better Gas milage. PS just got mine centered and takeing measurments and choped of the drive shaft housing on swingarm about 2" past the bell of flange.good luck with your hunt and hope to see your build soon

the california side car kit uses a 3.0 with the mustang rear end. but with the right tire size the 273 or the 308 will work also.

They definately show the skill and attention to detail and the paint looks perfect, are you building something new now? I've been riding mine but it's not finished yet, doing the paint myself is causing problems and it only has a trunk and fenders, I'll post some pictures when it's done. Had to rebuild the carbs to complete the testing but it looks like after switching to the Harley shocks and getting the mountings right made all the difference, finally ended up with the rear of the trike 1 1/8 inches lower than stock and it rides nice and steers like a dream. Nothing altered on the frame and still have all the original Standard parts so it can go back to two wheels. Couldn't have done it without your help answering all my questions, thanks again.

your very welcome glad i could help in some way. not yet but i have a few that want one they are trying to either sell something or get mama to let them spend the money. i just finished another floating trunk for a guy in Alabama. still wanting to trike my Harley have a little transmission from an 1100 i think may get it done for me where i can use the irs on it. we'll see soon. just looked at some of your pics in your gallery. nice job. don't know how your brakes are but if you'll get rid of that rubber line in the rear they'll be better. also put the residual valve in the line and that will help also.
