i put stock harley shocks on the last one and it rode nice. i'm using the stock shocks on this one and so far it feels great. you may just have to run more air than normal. i thought about running truck air shocks on this one but i believe these will work out great. the kit trikes run coil overs and a small air bag on the rear.

The Honda air shocks do not have load springs in them (GL1500), same as after market air shocks.
You need the load spring or coil-over shocks.
Air shocks just help to increase load capacity helping the load springs.
You could add a pair of Honda coil-over shock to do this.
How ever you are using the GL1200 air shocks, not sure bout them.

Just my 2 cents

i'm thinking these shocks work different than the 1500 as the 1500 has 1 air shock and 1 coilover. this thing rides pretty good with the stock honda 1200 shocks. i don't see the need to go any other way yet. i mean if you have the extra bucks and want to go with progressive or some other type go for it. but i can still use my on board air to adj as needed and i didn't have to change anything but their position.

using the stock swing arm has worked out great and i was able to use the stock muffler from the 1200 with very little mods. dropped them down about 1 1/2" and will fab a new bracket to bolt them up where they where originally.
body maybe on hold for a week as the place where i get my sheet steel is out of it.

Hi Skoto1,

I forgot to ask if you plan to use the parking brake? also was your recent build a 7.5 or 8.8 rear axle...

You are coming along great

7.5 was thinking about puting a hand brake on it. i left them on. one would do the trick. i have an old brake handel from a vw so i might do it. i don't know if i would use it or not still debating on it. slowed down now no sheet metal. drivable now just kinda sitting here.

Hey, after you build the body this time, why not make a fiberglass mold of it so you could just pop them out for your future trike?

Wow, you really are just sitting around.
I'm just about in the same boat till I pick up the rear body.
Still waiting on some GoldWing parts to finish it off.

really just sitting thinking about starting on the 1500 get it to a rolling trike. at least get it stripped down and get the rear end all measured and the axles sent out. but may just wait till i finish this one. want take too long after i get the steel. if i knew for sure if the swingarm was the same i'd cut it like the last one on the 1200.

my first one after about a week on the build i said man i wish i'd have just left it a bike, but it was worth it. now only the second one and it's a breeze. you'll enjoy. just get all your ducks in a row and you want have to wait like this. i had no idea they would be out of what i needed. should have checked earlier. well live and learn.

Hey Skoto1,

As for the body on mine, I am going the fiberglass foam core route.. I am not much in the sheet metal fabrication arena.. If that is your other one  in your avatar it came out good...
