They are sitting side ways in the picture. They have been mounted on the older Bugs before, but can find the link. Guess you could but a sleeping bag in there for a nap. Skip

i think they would look better than the ones i was going to use. i haven't made up my mind yet but i need to , i'm getting close to needing them. i'm still looking at what's out there but i may grab me a set like you got, i really like that look. good info.

decided where to put the lience plate this time. will ad a couple of lights to it when i do the rear wiring. Thats really nice work . But it looks like you welded the trunck shut ? I like the way its turning out .

nope you can open it, close fit. i just need to get some nice hinges anybody know where you can get a couple. i may go to boat hardware, they have some nice looking hinges and latches. i'm thinking about using a chrome piano hinge on the bottom you want see it until you open it up and not much pressure on the trunk lid.?

wife had the flue so i been takeing care of her for 9 days. man that stuff is ruff. but now i'm back at it. a little chillie around here today but i managed to remove the body to do the finish up welding and bracing on the flip side and finished up one side of the frame. should finish the other side of the frame and the body welding tomorrow. another view of the frame man that sure stiffened up everything. will double the bottom rail for the hitch. body upside down a few bracing here and there and stitch welding to help stiffen it up and maybe start the body work by the end of the week.
