Hey guys hope this is the right place to post this no idea what I'am doing on these forums. but if it is the right place then thank you for the warm welcome.

I have an old 85 1200 which is almost back on the road,
after a seven year wait. She was given life just after christmas, and it was like being a dad again for the first time. truly I had to wipe my eye. It been a long hard slog getting the bits together and finding the time to do all the work, as the previous owner had badly mis-treated the old gal. But anytime soon she will be gracing the Devon country side.
I will try to post some pics when she's fully dressed,
well your all to much of a gentleman to see her without her clothes on arn't you.
The very best to you old and young wingers.

Hello from olstnikon3

And good Morning wingnut and anybody that is awake out there.  I bring Greetings from Prescott Valley, Arizona.  If you drew an "X" from corner to corner on the map of AZ I would be smack in the middle

I have joined your group to help me get tech info about the front half of the frame and the fork assembly of my '88 GL1500, because that's all I have of it.

I am in the process of building a Trike composed of the goldwing frame,a Jaguar Independent rear Suspension and an Engine and Automatic Trans from a Mazda RX-7.

The Rotary engine will be slightly modified and should put about 200 HP to the ground.  The Auto Trans will be setup with a push Button shift so I don't have to let go of the bars to shift, and the Jag IRS will be modified so that when I go into a corner the frame will lean into the corner and the Rear Wheeles will also LEAN into the corner.

It's an ambitious project.  I understand the Rotary engine and the Jag IRS, BUT I know little about the Frame and Fork and wheel of this particular Bike.  AND that is where you nice people come in.

By the way on a personal note I have played Santa Claus for almost 30 years so that is where my screen name comes from (ol st nik on3) Get it?

well By for Now,

olstnikon3:santawaving:

Thanks for the welcome to your forum.

I own a 1989 GL1500 and have just finished it with a New Paint Job. All done myself and other customizations.

It was originally the 89 Blue Green

Thanks

Back to a Goldwing after 20 years away. Funnily enough this one is about the same age as my original one would now be, 1987 GL1200 Aspencade, though I suspect that keeping this one on the road will be a bit more of a challenge than it was back then.

Thanks to all you guys for the warm welcome.
I'm looking forward to scouring the Tech Forum so I can rebuild my fork and front brakes for my Trike.
I am also watching the guys that are adding a Jaguar IRS as that is what Iwill be doing.
I am also in the process of rebuilding my '86 13B Mazda Rotary Engine. This engine with some minimal Porting and a aftermarket manifold and Fuel-Injection should give me about 225hp at the rear wheels.
Again, Thanks for the welcome. It looks like I am going to enjoy it here!
:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Greetings from Spokane WA. I am starting a restore on my father-n-laws old 1985 GL1200 Limited, Im just searching for intel at this point waiting for my clymers to be shipped here then its time to bring her back to life. The bike has 25,000 miles and has been stored for the past 20 years. You will see me around a bit this summer while I work on this project. Hope to get it done in time to enjoy it this year.
