Just wanted to introduce myself, I have a 1984 Goldwing I have been riding since new and it now has aged to the point that it needs some tlc. This site has so much info that most repairs can be done by anyone with minimal ability such as myself.

I just bought a 1986 Goldwing Interstate with 38K miles on it. It appears to be in good condition

G'Day all.  Just checking in as a new member.  My first bike was a 1930 Harley.  It was 18 and I was 15,  Do the math.  My main rides are a 1990 PC800 Pacific Coast and a 1993 GL1500SE.

thanks im new    just bought a fixer upper!   1986 gl1200 aspencade sei   not running      i changed the plugs and have a spark in all 4.  the fuel pump makes noise for a second or two with ignition on and starter switch in run.   when cranking it almost sounds like it wants to start....(makes puff puff sound).   i live in topeka, ks and the guy who owned it bought it in california, so its a calif model.   could it be the emmissions stuff?     i really dont want to wast my time it it is impossible to get running any ideas.   i intended to ride this summer!  lol.....

Welcome from San Antonio Texas.  Today is Fiesta Battle of the Flowers.  We are so laid back here we created our very own holiday.  As for this site it is the worlds greatest.  As a fairly new member this site helped me change my oil, brake pads, and the timing belts.  They helped me with my radio and some electrical problem.  If you can't find the answer here the problem has not occurred yet.  Explore the site and jump in.  Again welcome.
