Well today is Monday July 14th. I am still at the Rehabilitation facility but only until this Friday. Since my last message I have had a 2nd surgery and almost lost my leg due to infection. Thankfully I have thick legs. This Wednesday I get walking papers from the orthopedist (hoping) and Friday I will be released to the Hospital for a 3rd and hoping final surgery to the leg. I am told my stay there will be a couple days and then I get to go home finally.
Riding for this year is out of the question for me. My husband is still riding and actually rides his Wing here to visit me everyday, easier parking and well he gets to ride. Myself I admit still haven’t decided if I will ride again. What used to bring so much pleasure and exhilaration to me right now only fills my heart with fear and dread. I hope its not always this way.
For sure if and when I ride again I will stop by the friendliest and most informative Wing forum I have seen. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. I am soon to be home and on a whole new level of recovery.

D-Rod & I will pray for your speedy & complete recovery.
It sounds like you have a positive attitude and you will have plenty of time between now and the time you are able to ride. Hopefully most of the fears will subside by then and you will find the courage to ride again. We wish you the best.

First and formost, I am glad to hear that you are steadily recovering and that you weren't unfortunate enough to loose that leg.
I hope the third and final surgey goes well and that there is no infection this time.
Next thing is, whether you choose to continue riding or not, this is a great place to hang out and be part of the "family". No hang ups on here, it matters not whether you are a rider or just a regular visitor.
Probably in time you will start by hopping on the back of hubby's Wing as a passenger and time will tell if you want to ride in your own right again.
Again, best of luck with the recovery, my lass Helen is only just getting over a broken ankle that occured before Christmas and the physio today said it may well take up to a year to be fully healed again.
Stick with us and enjoy this ride, which is International and fun!!!!

To ride or not to ride, that is the question that only you can answer. I laid mine down Dec 31st, but was lucky enough to be able to get back on and ride it home. Deep tissue bruising and broken rib. Not riding now because of shoulder replacement surgery April 28th, plus my bike is in pieces getting ready for new paint.( figgured since I couldn't ride it might as well work on it. Whether you ride again or not, consider yourself one of the family. And we hate to lose family members.

Well I'm glad to hear you are closer to the Hospitals exit door. Thoughts about motorcycles can wait, just concentrate on getting better for now.
