HI, My name is Tosha. My husband just bought a 1978 gl1000 and believe it or not I am the one doing all the Mechanic work on it. Thanks to this Forum I was able to remove the starter, have it repaired (ground post broken off), and diagnose why the solenoid was not working properly. Thanks to all you guys that have the knowledge. In my case If I can read instructions I can do the job and ya'll make it easy.
Thanks,
Tosha

Welcome from the Souther Tier of New York!
About time we had another lady doing some wrenching around here! Sure wish Keke would work on my bike! Or at least work on her own, so I didn't have to do it all...
(Be sure to add your location to your profile, so that in the future people won't need to ask where you're from.)

Welcome to the forum from down in Florida.
Are you going to just pull wrenches? Or will you get to fire that old girl up and feel the wind in your hair?
Either way enjoy your visits here and the time spent with the bike.

| probably just pull wrenches, i'm a 4 wheelin' kinda gal. I truly have a fear of bikes. Maybe if I had my own, we'll see. He's a rider from way back, just been without one for a while...maybe i'll let him get back in the groove first, then try a little ride....just scares me...pavement I mean.

OK, I JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS FOR THIS FORUM...I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS BIKE NOW; WELL, SINCE WE GOT IT HOME...(SEE MY POST IN THE TECH FORUM). I THINK I AM BEGINNING TO NARROW THE PROBLEM. STILL NOT SURE.
I HOPE I HAVN'T OPENED A CAN OF WORMS WITH THIS. IT MAY TAKE SOMEONE MUCH SMARTER THAN I TO FIX IT.

HERE IS MY RANTING, RAVEING POST!!! SORRY, I WAS VERY FRUSTRATED AT THE TIME!
