Howdy. I'm new to this site and Goldwings. I had a technical problem to sort out just yesterday. I asked the question and was getting responses almost immediately. I'm overwhelmed with the response.
I'll be here often.

I have been riding for 30+ years and have owned and ridden various make and models of bikes. I have to say my Black and Chrome GL1800 has been by far the nicest ride. I was glad to find this site with so many resources, I had to join. I am looking forward to swapping info and getting to know some of the members.

We're from the Similkameen valley in British Columbia Canada and loving every minute of a new retirement. The 87 Aspencade helps a lot.

Have been having issues with the wing this summer. Coils, connections, alternators and now cruise controls. Get tired of waiting for shops so I'm gonna learn to do it my self. Besides, it's a lot more rewarding.

People have been great here.

After 3 Goldwings I bought an Ultra Classic, I couldn't be without a wing so I still have my 76 GL1000 LTD. We really enjoyed our visit to Athlone on our visit through Ireland. Wish I would have known there was a member there.

One of my co-works bought a GW, and some of the other guy's bought Honda's, Now where MY HD was parked the Honda's now park I had to park out back...
But Evr the one that bought the GW just keep on me about how nice it rode. My wife kept complaining about her butt.
She said she neeeded a new seat, SO i Got her one.
We plan on taking a month and a pocket full of money and do some tent camping and seeing the USA
I'm also looking for a Trailer to pull?

:waving: I am over whelmed by the responces I have gotten from new members, and continue to read them.....As I stated in my welcome I am always glad to help in any way that I can, but if you do have a problem with your Wing, there are lots of other guys an gals on the forum that are willing and more than happy to help you.....I am still new to Wings my self and if I don't have an answer, I'll see that your post gets to where someone might be able to give you the right answers....You might want to post any problems on the General motorcycle forum, and put in a nice introduction of your self in the Misc Forum......This way you will be asking help from over 11,000 members and making some new friends.....

Claude....Forum Moderator....

Till then "Keep on Winging"

I am a new member. Ride a 1977 Goldwing & just purchased a 1987 Interstate. The 1987 is very loud/clunky shifting and sometime it will grind when shifted. Bike has 62,000 miles.
Any ideas?

Hello from Alabama.  This is similar to my story... purchased an 06 VTX1300R.  Rode it for a year and decided on something bigger.
Went on vacation to the Smokies where there is a Harley shop on every corner.  We stopped in just about every one of them... came really close to buying one.
All it took was one sitting on a Wing and she was hooked.  We picked up a Silver GL1800 about a month ago and love it.  My wife is currently on ebay looking for a pair of riding shoes she can wear.

dlmccart wrote: Hello, After 20+ years of raising kids I just got my last one out of high school. I've been off of bikes about that same amount of time, having no time to enjoy them. So last month I had a mid life crisis and bought a new 2007 VTX 1300C, black and chrome. I forgot to mention to my wife I was going to look at them and one followed me home. After driving it around for about a month I found myself wanting more, so today I got a 2006 GL1800. I've wanted a Goldwing since collage (30 years). I did discussed this purchase with my wife beforehand to avoid what happened last time. She is warming up to the ideal of traveling cross country on it (she wanted me to buy a Harley). So here we go, glad to find a forum like this, it's going to be a great help. Thanks
