Good Morning,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have just acquired a 1983 GL1100 Aspencade. Until now I have been the proud owner riding a 1981 Silverwing Interstate. I am looking forward to now completely restoring the siverwing (as I can now park it long enough to work on, lol). I am also looking forward to fixing up and slowly restoring my new gem. I don't even have the bike in my possession as of this post, as it is being trailered over here as I type. I do know that it has about 87,000 miles, and the #2 Carb doesn't appear to be feeding when at low idle or cold, so I have some minor checking to do, but other than that, weather permitting, I hope to have it on the road in a few hours for a quick spin around the block if nothing else. Wish my luck.

Oh, one more thing, if by chance, anyone knows of any little quirks I should look out for with my new baby, please let me know.

Thanks,

Ian

Thanks for the join-up.  Have had a goldwing since 2000.  Hd to sell my 1st 1200 aspencade after a LOAD of work due to economic pressure.  Bought a 1500 Aspencade about a year ago and am now doing a full maintenence.  Have looked at the forum before and have had a huge amount of help from GWRA here in Great Falls.  Thanks Jerry
