Hello everyone, I am a new member to this forum thingy but it sounds very helpful. My wife and I rode 750's 20 years ago then the kids came! We took up riding again last fall on a 78 Wing. I know it is old but it got our feet wet again and we love it! We both are so happy riding we go out every chance we get. Anyways, thanks for being here nice to have a network. Ps we are in the process of looking for a new bike, 1500's interest me alot. Thanks, Danodot.

Thanks for the forum. I own a 1984 Aspencade with some carburetor problems. If I pull the #3 cylinder plug wire I get spark but no difference in the rpm. It's almost like it's running on three cylinders. The vacuum gauges are all around 5 +- 1/2inches in idle @1000rpm. It was #1 cylinder until I pulled the carbs and blew them out and cleaned them but after putting them back in the problem switched to #3. I guess I will have to remove #3 and clean it again. Cylinder pressure tests ok. High speed hp not good. I have synchronized the carbs. Oil level ok. Was too high. Can the carb be removed without removing the whole header this time? I think I can get to the two screws by the air filter to remove the carb from the header. The linkage might be a problem. Not sure yet. Have you ever run across this problem? Since I purchased the bike used. It has never been able to run with the choke all the way open. It must be closed 1/3 for the engine to run right. I resync'd the carbs with the choke all the way open and it seemed to improve a bit. Still missing #3 fire at idle. I wonder if my lifters are floating. Thanks for any ideas. Ron = aka (burgy) too many burgy's so used rfburgy for handle. Have not found a dupe yet. Used to work for Coors Brewing. Now retired. Also hold Amature License KD0XF.

Welcome rfburgy. Copy and paste this post and place it in the Tech Forum. It will get the needed attention, better than here. And if you could, please add your location to your profile. HI Roy... Welcome, and we need more like you... stick around... you'll find some like you here too... but what you did would be hard to top... and you don't need a Goldwing to be here either.. (and I still would like a Harley to ride sometimes Last edited on Wed Oct 8th, 2008 03:10 am by sandiegobrass ____________________ Please consider helping Rudy at the link... I want a chrome one anybody know which Honda fender will work with my bike?Hi Ken.... Welcome!! The much earlier wings had chrome... might be one that will fit.. but mikef is correct, you will likely get a lot better response to your request if you post it in the "miscellaneous" or even the "wanted" forums..
