I have always wanted a bike, and never rode one. I just went and bought a 1985 Gl1200 Interstate. I think I might be a little off in the head to go straight to a big one. I am 6'5" 300+. My Dad owns a 2001 GL1800 he just bought, however has has rode a lot before. My wife likes to ride with him and is looking forward to riding with me. If you pray I need it. I look forward to learning to ride and maybe attending some events next year.

Welcome and Hello bluwing . No need to wait till next yr to attend events . Theres going to be a fine group of folks from this forum meeting up in north GA next month . Even some "Winging there way" from across the pond to enjoy the festivities. IT would be a shame for you to miss out . Hey polish up the riding skills and bring the Mrs and your dad along . It promises to be a fun weekend .
Prayers ? Yes Theres a plenty of those offered and asked for round here . May you be blessed with health sunshine and dry roads .

Welcome to the forum!
You can do this! I did the same thing several years ago ... Have you taken any motorcycle safety Courses? It would be a good investment.

Welcome to the family!
Though the Wing seems big for a first bike, you'll get used to it quick and love it in the long run.
Blessings,
Nick
