Hello All,
I'm new on the Goldwing scene. I started riding 20+ years ago mostly on small puddle jumpers, got married and replaced the bike with a cage. Replaced the wife and now returned to riding. Purchased an 82 KZ440 about a year and a half ago. Last fall I picked up an 85 Vulcan 700 as a winter project bike (still working on it). Then I came across a 68 Kawasaki Bushwhacker. It is a 175cc single pump two cycle enduro bike. I came by my 86 1200 Interstate more by accident than anything else. I never figured I would be able to own the elite type bike that the Wings are known as. Well the price was right because the bike needed some work and I happened to have the money at the time. The bike doesn't seem to charge the battery. I believe it is the stator (been through that with the Vulcan). Always open to ideas and willing to share some of my own.
Charlie

Hey I'm more than willing to ride with anyone who want's to take a run up here to the 49th state.
Rabbit the "big" part from your greeting reminds me of a quick joke told up here about a political convention from several years ago.
There was this deligate from Texas who bragged about how big Texas was and how everything is bigger in Texas.
Well the deligate from Alaska got a little sick of hearing it so replied back that if Texas didn't watch it we would devide Alaska in two and then Texas would be the third largest state!
Sorry just had the joke pop into my mind.

Hey and welcome,
I am also fairly new here with my first Goldwing. Like you, I had always had other bikes, including a 82 KZ440Ltd that I sold to my ex about 6 months ago, but I recently stumbled across a '82 Goldwing at a price I couldn't pass up, so here I am.
This forum is full of great fun people. Welcome aboard!

Once upon a time back in the fifty's I dreamed I would move to Alaska when I graduated from high school. Well I met this angel, she is a bit old and gray now but I have done just about every thing for 48 years and she is still following me where ever I go. We have been all over the Rockie Mountains with horses, by foot and motorcycle hunting, fishing and camping. Who knows we may make it to your great state yet
