Bought my first wing (1500 SE 1995) three month ago and now I've joined my first forum, not bad two firsts.
You lot in the rest of the world may not know but the coastal town of Blackpool is renowned for the light show that they put on. I have also been on my first wing meeting to Blackpool and the organisers had a drive past up the sea front a great spectacle.
I think I will like the way of life and this site.
Thank a lot

welcome you have joined the best goldwing site by far, watch out for the meet & greet events.
Blackpool was good i did meet a couple on a 1200 who turned up a little late for the parade and told them to check this site out, don't know if they have made it here yet?

Hi lakelander thanks for the reply I take it your a member of Lanks & Lakes great show they put on hope to be there next year God willing. The good lady wife should be on a better bike by then as she only passed her test last Tuesday(16/09/20008) we did go for the ride out to Rivington Barn, 17 Wings and a little Suzuki Marauder but the lead rider (Spanners) looked after her very well.
Also thanks again to all on the site for the welcomes

Hi Tom Tom it was a good show i am not a member of Lakes & Lancs as I now live near London, although i am a member of GWOC.
I think you will find that whatever bike you ride the goldwing fraternity will tend to take you in as most members do not have anything to prove, they just enjoy the ride.
Safe riding but don't let the missus ride the wing or you might be relegated to the marauder.

If you know of an event coming up or a cool ride you went on - SHARE IT!
If you have a joke or funny story - TELL IT!
If you have prayers to give or need some - FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, SAY IT!
If you have anything bad to say to or about anyone on this forum - STUFF IT!
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!!

Yes Tom Tom, Sunny South Shields - sunny yesterday, sunny - ish today and I bloody hope its sunny tomorrow, or I'll be getting wet - again!!!!
Anyway, welcome to the mad house.
Don't listen to Derek, or Welsh Winger, they don't know what they are talking about.
Christine, on the other hand is always right. (As in, the second I met her, I knew she was Miss Right, in the twenty odd years since then, I have learned that her first name is "Always")
