Hi from a new Franklin, TN. resident. Happy to be a new member.
After a friend left his 1982 Goldwing Interstate uncovered in the weather for two years, I told him I would like to try to get it going. Many hours, ebay parts, and paint later, it started looking like a Goldwing again. When I was finished he gave me the title for a Christmas present. This is my first Goldwing which means a lot to me since I used the time restoring it to relieve the stress of watching my wife of 32 years fight a losing battle with cancer. It is a joy to ride it.
I entered the forum because my starter would not turn over the engine intermittently. After reading some posts, I checked the battery ground connection at the motor mounting bolt. I found it corroded, cleaned it up and it seems to be better now. Hopefully that is all it was.

Welcome to the forum from Florida. 
I'm glad to see you've gotten a wing, but am sad that your wife won't be with you to enjoy it.
