Silverfox, if you send Redwing a really nice PM he might add you to "the list" before Hobo.  :dude:

When I say "first class" that is not "first class" as in champagne and canapees, you understand, more the cattle class, pinned in to seats five a breast with no leg room and pre packed container food and loos that have long queues. Deep joy!!!:( :cheeky1::cheeky1:

She did state that you may have to travel in the luggage compartment

You don't have to try and hide it Silverfox, I am sure they have removed the Concord from moth balls and are getting it ready for your trip as we speak. ;)

Nightwizard40, this is an absolutely brilliant idea!  If he dismantles his GL1800 immediately, he can send it over, 1st class, and we can surely have it re-assembled in good time.  British Airways is currently having a huge "fare sale", which of course, does me no bloody good, as I bought my reverse route ticket 4 months ago! :P

I'm not sure why that's happening- it must have to do with declining tourism-; can't imagine why?  The (nearly worthless) dollar will buy a perfectly good sip of coffee, in the UK!  :dude:Surely everyone has forgotten the opening of the new terminal at Heathrow (although I understand all 40,000? people are still trying to get their luggage back!) :cheeky1:  In truth, I've had far worse experiences here in the USA, and considering the volume of people they "process", it's amazing that Heathrow and Gatwick Airports function at all, let alone as well as they do....

Take heart, all who travel- the dollar is holding fast against the Mexican Peso (as well as the Argentine, I'm told), so it's not ALL bad news..... ;)

Redwing- who me? On the "normal" list?   You must have been fed completely erroneous info, and I resemble the implication that I am "normal" in any way.  Just ask any of my mates! :cooldevil:  I demand, I DEMAND, I say, to be removed from said list, forthwith.....  Pete, and Hobo, and I, will have a lovely time, together, riding and carousing.....

So, have y'all ordered up some hurricane activity for the rally, so those of us not used to such things can enjoy the local phenomenon? :dude:

Yeah, and they predicted that for last year, and I'm glad they were wrong. I don't need to be tramping around on anymore search and recovery missions:X. Maybe the weather guys will keep their "winning" streak going and it will be another quiet year:baffled:

Well, jluvs2dive, if it helps you to know, Calhoun GA is reputed to be at least 600 feet above sea level (haha- I just typed "seal level"- where did I leave my beer?) so hopefully, we won't all drown, in the event.  I know; in the event of what? :cheeky1:  Keep tabs on it, coming across, and you'll be fine....

I'm sure you'll be riding across from Montana, Wyoming, or Colorado, so....I think you're pretty safe? Although....I didn't realize (until I was 'in it') that west Tennessee, southern Missouri, and even Ohio are part of the "Tornado belt" - who knew? Well,  probably the folks who actually LIVE is all those places? :dude:

Nightwizard40, I agree with you, for certain.  I've always wanted to have a job where I could be completely wrong, at least 80% of the time, and still get paid?   Ya ha...should have been a meteorologist (them's the dudes that study meteors, right?) Hmmm...suddenly, the theme song of "Lost in Space" is in my head...:waving:

In Canada we can call them up and complain about the inaccurate reports. It's a 900 number. You have to pay to be able to tell them how they messed up your weekend. Only the government:gunhead:

80% of the time????  Boy you guys must have alot better meteorologist than we do:shock:. Ours hits about 90-95% ratio...........of being WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!:cheeky1::cheeky1:.

Example:  This past week end, partly cloudy Saturday with some rain.....stayed cloudy all day, but they did get the rain correct, Sunday....Sunny Mid to upper 70's.  .........misted rain most of until midday, low 60's......made it up to about 67 by late afternoon and the sun peaked out once or twice:cooldevil::cooldevil:

Well, yeah....I'm a nice guy, so I was being generous.  I absolutely love it, when they say "tomorrow's weather is dismal, with rain pissing down all day, and colder'n...."

Well, I'm a jungleman, so I can't say! But....I clap my hands with glee, as it is sure to be warm and sunny, and perfect riding weather! :cheeky1: :cheeky1: :cheeky1:
