Now your talking! Just don't let Exavid get too close to the catfish, he is anti-catfish, and might appear ill.

Sounds like a plan coming together!! I'm all for some catfish and hushpuppies!! Do we have to catch the fish first? Better find out from Cyote61 if either of the ponds have catfish in them. I've got an easy way to skin them. I do plan on bringing a rod-n-reel.
With 79+ members coming I believe we might want to have a back-up plan for supplying the fish. Like the Seafood section at Winn-Dixie!!! Winn Dixies have all closed up here. I de-commisoned the computer systems in 3 of them. Plus them thar store bought fish are pond raised and have no taste compared to river or lake catfish.

Yes, river mud has a more "high class" taste, than pond mud, although, I could care less where they come from, as long as they are not mexican catfish, which taste too much like salmon, which to me, tastes like tuna fish.

What we have here is a failure to communicate so lets discuss the items that have been suggested.
- Head counts. Right now I would estimate close to 150 humanoids attending.
- I gallon of stuff may not strecth too far better make it 3 to five gallons.
- Fish. No, the pond here will not supply catfish nor will you catch enoung bass to feed that many people. Also, with some exception of keepin a few, I ask that people practice catch and release here. You better get your fish from the meat market.
- If I can get my propane cooker to work, it already has a duty of cooking redbeans and rice. If not then it will be cooked in large pot on the BBQ grill.
- I can use all the help and food that anyone wants to assist with. Bring whatever you feel you want to treat the members with. If we need bread, buns, and stuff that i I will see it's provided if I know in advance that its needed. Coordination and communicated will be need so we fill the needs properly.
As I stated, I can use all the help and assistance you folks can provide. This event last four days basicly and I want everyone to have a good time and go away happy. I don't want to over structure things so people feel like they have to be someplace every few hours. Keeping it laid back and relaxing is the key. If I'm wrong about that, then we'll know when its over that we bombed out.
My cell phone # is 404-310-2727 and you can email me at bsamtdm@earthlink.net. or as always you can PM me. I also read smoke signals.
Stay tuned for updates on the cooking facility and patio area.

If I had catfish, I sure wouldn't let them speak no mexican around here. If I hear that type of thing happening I'm puttin a shark in the pond.

I fish mostly for the fun of it now a days, so catch and release is fine for me.
Now 5 gallons of hash would cost way more than I can afford, it doesn't come cheap around here if you want it made right. That's why I said it would mostly be for those that have never had it. I might be able to swing 2 gallons, more than that and I'd start running out of space in the trailer. I'll see what kind of deal the maker can give me for a quanity sell.
Now, as to fish, put me on a good bed of blue gills and I'll take home as many as I can catch, goes for crappie also!!!
Bass are fun to catch but kind of bland as far as taste goes compared to a good mess of catfish, blue gills and crappies.

Does anyone want to head up a "Camp Chili Cook Off"?
Man I can smell that fresh camp chili wafting over the pastures with the odor of cowshit in the morning dew. I'll think I died and went to heaven.

Head it up? Not really. But it does sound good. I can make a batch for the cookoff....just don't judge it. It never comes out the same twice!
I can bring a propane cooker and/or a gas grill in addition to a charcoal grill if needed.
What else? I have some pots and pans in the camper. ???

Yes sir, bring it on sir. You don't have to head it up ifen you don't want to, but we could sure use a nice person like yourself to push the contest and get it going. Bring on the cooker ifen you have space. I just know other members that are coming will jump on the band wagon and help us get moving. I'll provide main course meal twice, but we got snackin and munchin as people come and go. We all know when it comes to bikers, food comes first if they aren't in the saddle. Most of the eatin will be southern style stuff, we are in the deap south ya know. Yes, even smoked sasuage dogs is southern folks. You won't get done of that yankee ball park franks here. Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatoooooooooooooooooie. sides that, if it's called a frank it ain't real food. That sounds like a Italian cannibal wiener to me. "Hey were did cousin Frankie go, oh he's in the bun "

| Just my $.02 worth and I'm definitely not trying to step on any toes here but I'm sure of the approximately 150 humanoids that are showing up they are probably all willing to do something to help out but might hesitate because we don't know where that help is needed. Cyote if you made of list of what help is needed and what is all ready being handled by whom well now.................. Again, just my $.02.

Yes Mam, a Dollar store right around the corner, just a mile from here. They also have ice too. There is a Wal-mart and K-Mart back over in town, 8 miles to either one.

There's a fair contingent from Ontario, NY and one from New Castle PA, coming down, that will be riding back that way. As well, I'll be heading back to Ontario(eastern end of Lake Ontario) via the Blue Ridge Parkway and up through PA and NY, so I'm sure you'll have some company!
Don't be shy ... you know you want to!
